Chapter One Brasserie
Hayley and Jason Walker would like to welcome you to their European style brasserie in the heart of Subiaco. Perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, with ample parking at the rear of the restaurant off York Street. Jason began his career at The London Hilton before a successful career in five star cuisine with Europe’s top chefs, including Marco Pierre White, Eric Chavot, Gary Rhodes, and Pierre Koffman. Jason gained valuable knowledge as well as a great passion and enthusiasm for cooking whilst in London. He has brought this passion to Perth at Chapter One brasserie. Hayley learned the very best in hospitality systems and procedures under Rocco Forte, europe’s premier luxury hotel operator. From there she set up a bistro in Spain, beginning a love affair with Spanish cuisine. Back in London after five years, Hayley set up and managed a modern wine bar on The Kings Road in Chelsea, before moving up the road to work for Terrance Conran as a head waiter at The Bluebird Gastronome.

The new Joy Kitchen is bigger, more attractive, beautifully located and, incredibly, even better than it was before. Diners at the new location can enjoy sunsets over Fishing Boat Harbour as well as the fine food and friendly atmosphere. Harry looks after the kitchen where he preaches the need for passion when it comes to preparing and presenting every dish. Wei Lin is at the front of house where she ensures diners are well looked after. Staff members are well trained and some have been there for a long time. Since the move Wei Lin has even turned into a wine buff. Joy Kitchen now has a small but well-constructed wine list. "I thought if we were going to serve wine I should get to know about it," Wei Lin said. Beer lovers are also well catered for while those who prefer a Chinese tea with their meal will love what's on offer.
Italians identify the word pagnotta with a round shaped loaf of bread. A very ancient Italian saying states that “oggi ho guadagnato la mia pagnotta” or “today I have earned my pagnotta” – (referred to as the daily bread). The founder of La Pagnotta Italian Bakery & Café, Mr Fernando (Nando) De Maria, is originally from Rome, Italy. As a young boy, he was involved in the bread & pizza industry there, and, after his wedding in 1967, he emigrated to Toronto, Canada, where, together with his elder brother, established La Romana Bakery in 1976.

Osteria Dei Sapori Italian Restaurant
Osteria Dei Sapori provides faithful Italian cuisine in modern surroundings. Spread over three adjoining rooms, the decor balances a business lunch vibe and family nights out, through a mix of open brickwork, tiled floors and photographs of Italian landscapes. Antipasto, the pride of the kitchen, takes centre stage on an antique side table along with a traditional meat slicer, creating the feeling of eating in the family home. In the Italian fashion, pasta - such as house-made ravioli filled with sweet potato, pumpkin and walnut with butter and sage - is the sole option for entree. Meat from the charcoal grill dominates the mains and the decently sized wine list features predominantly WA and Italian wines with a smattering from interstate. This is Italian at its unashamed best.

Ninniku Jip Restaurant
Ninniku Jip opened in the suburb of Victoria Park, Perth Western Australia in May 2006. The location is situated in the south of the main river close to the Perth CBD (approx 3km) and also to prime universities such as Curtin and Murdoch. Since opening, the restaurant has grown into a highly successful and widely recognised facility in Perth amongst young families, gourmet travellers, the Asian community, overseas students and young professionals. In essence Ninniku Jip is different. When a world is becoming more and more homogenous, Ninniku Jip decided to do things differently. Ninniku Jip is a Korean restaurant with a strong influence from Japan and western. Dishes are put together to reflect ourselves as we have created arrays of eclectic dishes that are distinctively our own creation. Also in that part of the world, there are no courses so dishes are brought out as soon as they are prepared and diners are to enjoy those different dishes as they arrive and share at the table.
