The Argus Dining Room


The Argus Dining Room serves Modern Australian cuisine with an emphasis on regional produce. Utilising food grown onsite in the Argus Kitchen Garden, the menu is also supplemented by rare breed cattle and sheep from the owners nearby farm ‘Birch Estate’ in Smeaton. The Argus is located in the original 1930’s Art Deco dining room at Peppers Mineral Springs Retreat. Guests can enjoy a fresh, seasonal menu in understated but sophisticated surroundings designed by interior designer Stuart Rattle. Executive Chef David Willcocks has joined the team after returning home to Victoria following three years as Executive Sous Chef in the world renowned ‘Schilo Kitchen’ at the 5 Star Hotel Finca Cortesin in Malaga, Spain. The Argus is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
