Cutler & Co. Dining Room is located in an old metal works factory on Gertrude Street, Fitzroy, Melbourne’s first suburb and industrial area. A recent refurbishment brings an open plan kitchen to the front of the restaurant, creating a dynamic focal point. This substantial lounge area now allows for ring-side dining, light bites and drinks, with the established Cutler & Co. experience being retained. Bacash Restaurant follows up on a reputation of fine seafood cooking earned at Michael and Fiona's first restaurant Toofey's. Vue de Monde
Shannon Bennett's established fine dining, recently reinvigorated in the move to Level 55 of Melbourne's iconic Rialto. Vue de monde is testament to the belief that restaurant dining can be a wondrous, unforgettable experience and pays homage to classical fine dining in a sophisticated, modern context. Originally housed in a quirky terrace building in Drummond Street Carlton, Vue de monde relocated in 2005 to the historic Normanby Chambers in Melbourne’s central business district. Evolving from a classical French style restaurant with a niche following, the move signified a shift in direction, with a focus on the theatrical and the dedication to dining as an experience. Vue de monde was lauded in its original location, including chef/owner Shannon Bennett being awarded the Australian Gourmet Traveller's inaugural 'Best New Talent' Award in 2003. It was the move to the new premises that Vue de monde achieved widespread critical acclaim and international recognition, including a then unprecedented 19/20 from The Age Good Food Guide. In June 2011 Vue de monde relocated to the 55th floor of Melbourne’s iconic Rialto building, which challenged the notion that great dining cannot exist at great heights A pared back and sophisticated space, the design reflects on Australia’s history - it references Melbourne’s glory days during the gold rush and other cultural icons including the out back dunny! The extensive Asian focused menu includes some old favourites from Golden Fields (currently being reinvented as Luxembourg Bar & Bistro) in St Kilda, such as the New England lobster roll and the peanut butter parfait as well as exciting new dishes trialled at the successful pop-up test kitchen over summer. The menu features a raw bar, and a dumpling & bao section. Open seven days for lunch and dinner, Supernormal features a large open kitchen and bar, a spacious dining room and a private dining and karaoke room.
